My quest ends at Fullybooked

There it is! After a month of marauding underground e-communities / harassing irc.irchighway.net #ebooks for a free e-book, I finally gave in to buying a hard copy. This is one of the unplanned purchases I had this week (hopefully it all ends here). Earlier, April and I had a chat about the blog entry I made of this book... *cut to the chase* it ended with her saying she'll see if Fullybooked has this and me suggesting I come with her. When I asked for this at the store, I did not anticipate it being on stock (girl at the counter even knew who authored this *amazed*, this must be a popular buy). So I was slightly taken aback when, I swear out of thin air, ate whipped out a copy and plopped it in front of me. Alangan namang 'di ko pa bilihin, 'di ba? Insight into this book later.
The other purchase I mentioned somewhere up this post is a 2010 planner. I am, as sure as day follows night, not a planner-planning-planner person (planner-planning-planner does not make sense or will ever make sense, it just sounded good) . I had one last year but I knew, past the scrawny writings littered all over the days of a week, the weeks of a month, and a couple of months at the beginning of the year, I'll never get back to those things I scrawled and use them to plan my days ahead. Yet, when I stumbled upon this planner at a blog owned by a ka-BACA back in elbi let's just say... IT HAD ME AT The "I-was-supposed-to-get-that-coffeehouse-planner-but-I-got-fat/broke-on-the-10th-frappe" Planner 2010 title. Get it from here. More on this planner soon.

MMK: Basura

I bought this jacket that my teammates insist resembles a garbage bag. They do have a point (<- see picture). Anyway, here's the list of wisecracks I heard (as recalled, accuracy not guaranteed) this day pertaining to my new kick-ass acquisition:
1) "Andito na pala ang leading lady ni Migs" [aforementioned has a matching garb]
2) "Napo-protektahan ka ba n'yan sa lamig?"
3) "Action star na action star ah" [when worn, it does emit an action/rock star feel to it"
4) "Ang astig naman nitong kasama ko"
5) "Pakilabas ang motorsiklo"
6) "Parang si Pepe Smith lang ah" [again, rock and roll!]
7) "Hindi pa tapos tahiin yung jacket mo kaya mura lang" [length reaches only up to a little above my waist]
8) "may suggestion sana ako, pag dumaan si kuya na kumukuha ng basura wag mo muna suotin jacket mo"
9) "Jo! Anjan na si kuya" [in a worried voice, baka masama daw ako sa daily garbage collection]
10) "Mamaya makita mo na lang 'yan nakasakay na sa tulak-tulak ni kuya" [see mechanism in the picture]
11) "At least yun jacket, 'di ikaw" [reply ng boss ko nung sinumbong ko na tinutukso yun jacket ko as basurahan]
12) "Yan na ba yung hiningi mo sa aking garbage bag?"
13) "Garbage bag pala ang ginagamit na material ng Giordano"
14) "Ate 'pag suot mo 'yan kamukha mo si Oscar the Grouch... pang-trash can beauty"
15) "Baka 'di taxi ang mapara mo, motor"
16) "Hubarin mo kaya 'yan, try lang. Baka 'yan ang malas." [dahil 'di makakuha ng taxi]
17) "'Wag n'yong iwan 'yan baka tumambling palabas ng jeep"

Monday Office Trip
